"GG House" was located on a south, steep slope in the green district of Cracow - Przegorzały. The simple form of the building is divided among window placements on the façade to let maximum amount of sunlight inside. The south façade of the building, is covered with balconies and porches which provides nice shade in summer and allows the sun to fill the interior in winter.
Elevation difference between road and ledge on which house is standing is 12 meters. In this space architect placed parking area and garage, so the cars can be easily hidden on the road level, while the rest of the house can take advantage of natural dolomite ledge strengthen with four ten meters-high columns.
On the ground floor, on the east side, there is a kitchen connected with terrace. Living room and dining room have been situated on the south side, along with sunny terrace which gives panoramic view of the Vistula River. The same floor also contains a small apartment for guests.
On the first floor there are three bedrooms, wardrobe and bathrooms. The highest floor has been designed as „chill-out room”
Architect Tadeusz Lemanski had to take into consideration not only the formation and geological structure of the plot, but also the constraints imposed on the project by local regulations and above all, the Directorate of Jurassic Landscape Parks. Due to strict zoning requirements the house had to be built only from natural materials and and covered with pitched roof with a steep slope.
